THE PENCIL BENCH
Designed from a single conversation to see if they could incorporate an everyday office object into a piece of furniture, they designed this quirky bench seat for D&AD in 2007 . It ended up causing quite a stir across the design world, scooping two awards for Boex and being featured in a number of national design journals. The seat is made up of 1,600 pink pencils which are individually sprung. Each pencil can be removed and used.

THE PENCIL BENCH IN BLACK
Boex had been commissioned by Jeff Salmon  from Four Rooms, to produce another Pencil Bench. This piece of furniture is constructed from walnut with over 2000 pink pencils fitted end up. This one has been designed at 2m long and given a jet black finish.
