THE
MOSAIC IN PENCILS
The 14′ x 6′ mosaic consists of 12,000
colored pencils, arranged in patterns that appear to be reaching out towards
the viewer. To create the piece, the designers sectioned the installation off
into parts, and meticulously organized the colors based off of a detailed plan.
The pixelated rainbow uses 25 unique colors, arranged by plugging the tips into
a 1x1 grid, which evolve from black on the edges to white near the center of
the piece.

THE MOSAIC IN GOLF TEES
The existing warehouse offered a unique
aesthetic that defines the studio. Large glass block openings on the east wall
filter natural light throughout the morning. Countering this is an art
installation completed by the design team. 44,000 golf tees line the surface
which depicts an aerial graphic of the local neighborhood. The intention
was to create a single element that could offer the opportunities for the users
to work in close proximity with one another in multiple
configurations.
